Drain Tracing
One of the main problems when dealing with drains can be actually locating them and tracing where they run to under the ground. The difficulty in obtaining information about buried drains is that nothing is visible. Drawings, plans or information can be obtained but very often they are not accurate or are incomplete.
This occurs frequently on sites where the drainage system has been altered and been added to over the years. The Diagram shows that by using a specific digital locator we can detect and trace the drain precisely. The sound which emits the frequency can also be used tandem with a video camera to enable visual inspection.
Dye Testing
Dye testing is a method for detecting and confirming drain lines. A dye test can be performed simply by releasing a dye (either pellet or powder), into the drainage system.
